Lyman Akers

Lyman Akers, a theatre teacher at Ironwood H.S. since 1986 is thrilled to be part of the Almost Famous Theatre family. Thanks to Jan Garth for a most exciting journey well worth the taking. Lyman most recently played Nicely, Nicely in Guys and Dolls and Selsdon in Noises Off for Almost Famous Theatre Company. He just completed filming a commercial for the Arizona Lottery. He has also appeared in PUSD Faculty Showcase productions as Cervantes/Don Quixote in Man of La Mancha, Neal Tilden in 1940’s Radio Hour, Gaston in Picasso at the Lapan Agile, The Chairman in The Mystery of Edwin Drood, Joe Josephson in Merrily We Roll Along and Lockstock in Urinetown. Other credits include Dr. Craven in The Secret Garden and Sky Masterson in Guys and Dolls at Theater Works, Don Pedro in Much Ado About Nothing, Scroop/Williams in Henry V for The Shakespeare Theatre Co. and Bishop Biladeau in Lilies at Nearly Naked Theatre.
