Lisa Barnes (Mendoza) while born in Arizona, grew up in Southern California, and has always had a love for performing.  She was on her high school drill team and cheerleading squad as well as in the drama club.  She made her move to Arizona for college and is a graduate from Arizona State University.  While attending school, she was a member of the ASU Danceline and performed at football and basketball games and traveled with the football team to perform at the Sun Bowl.  She was an Arizona Cardinals Cheerleader, as well as a member of their show team that performed for deployed US military all over the world; and was selected to be the Arizona representative at the Pro Bowl.  Lisa was Mrs. Arizona America 2015 and went on to represent our state at Mrs. America.

Lisa started studying with Jan and Garth Williams in 2017 when she decided to become a “real” actor, and that same year made her theatrical debut here in Arizona as Go-To-Hell-Kitty in the Fountain Hills Theater production of Chicago, where she won a Prizm award for “Best Actress in a Minor Role”. Since then, she has performed in two Almost Famous Theatre Company shows, Curtains and Guys and Dolls and was recently cast as Tanya in AFTC’s production of Mamma Mia, which will hopefully hit the stage in early 2021.

Through studying with Jan and Garth, Lisa has learned a wealth of knowledge and is so thankful for their support and encouragement in addition to their education. She has been able to secure representation with Ford Robert Black Agency, and has landed a feature film, a television pilot as well as quite a few roles in commercials, such as Salt River Project, Big O Tires, and Lenovo to name a few.

While she isn’t working as an actor, she spends her days as a wife and a mother of two, plays tennis, and actively volunteers throughout the community with organizations that focus on helping children. She can't thank her husband, Harley Jr., and her kids, Harley III and Berkley, enough for their unwavering love, support and overall awesomeness.
