I was very involved in musical theater as a youth and have enjoyed resurrecting that interest in the last few years. I really thought my days on stage were long over, but one night, 3 years ago, my friend Tristin mentioned she’d been cast in “Young Frankenstein”. They needed more ensemble members and would I be interested? Heck yes! I jumped right in and just kept going. I was in the ensemble of “9 to 5 the Musical”, “Dirty Rotten Scoundrels”, and “Gypsy”. I took on my first non-musical role in “Bridesmaids” and most recently had a Principal role in “The Supporting Cast”.
This company of actors is wonderful to work with. And the directing team of Jan and Garth have inspired me to grow my skills and stretch myself through acting classes, taking on bigger roles, and auditioning for commercial work.
Three years ago I was coming off a year of health challenges and was grateful just to be whole and healthy. Getting involved with the Almost Famous Theater Company gave me renewed confidence, energy, and the courage to take more risks.
